Bug Fisher Smallmouth Trips

Let us plan a smallmouth adventure for you! We can create either a wading trip (conditions permitting) or a float trip. Float trips are done from our Outcast Pac 1300, which is an extremely stable craft that will accommodate two anglers. We do allow spin fishing on smallmouth trips, although we always encourage our clients to experience this great game fish on the long rod! All smallmouth trips are catch and release only.

Full Day Wading and Float Trips include streamside lunch.

Fishermen may argue which river is the best smallmouth fishery, but no one can argue against Lynchburg, VA being the heart of smallmouth heaven. Any way you cut it, two of the top three smallmouth rivers are in our backyard. The James River runs through Lynchburg, while the New River is just a short drive away. Some of the best kept smallmouth secrets lie within the surrounding area as well. The Staunton (Roanoke) River in the Altavista area and the Maury River near Lexington provide excellent angling opportunities for smallies.

Along with smallmouths, Kentucky (Spotted) Bass, Rock Bass (Red-Eyes), and sunfish are on the menu as well, with the occasional carp or striper being boated.
