What You Should Know and Bring
You will need a valid Virginia fishing license on your guided trip. For most smallmouth float trips and wading trips, a resident or non-resident fishing license is all that is required. For trout trips, a resident or non-resident fishing license, trout stamp, and a National Forest Stamp (not required for those 65 years of age and older) will be necessary. Note: Virginia offers a 5-day license (resident or non-resident), which is valid for smallmouth, but is NOT valid for trout. You must have an annual resident or non-resident license to fish stocked trout waters in Virginia.
We will be glad to help you in anyway we can, however, fulfilling and carrying your license requirement is your responsibility.

Things to Bring on a Guided Trip
The following is a list of things we should know about you, prior to the trip. They all have to do with making your experience on the water a great one.
1. Skill level: Please give us an honest assessment of your fly fishing abilities. We work with all levels of anglers, from those who have never touched a fly rod to those who are very experienced. An honest assessment allows us to plan the day according to your abilities, and gives us an avenue for teaching.
2. Medical conditions: Please make us aware of any food or insect allergies, or any medical conditions we should be aware of. We keep up to date on our First Aid and CPR ertifications through the American Red Cross.
3. Physical disabilities: Please let us know about any physical disabilities you may have. We have taken clients out who were cancer survivors, sight impaired, and those with hip replacements and bad knees, and they all had enjoyable days on the water. However, we were aware of these things ahead of time, and were able to plan the day accordingly.
