Our mission is to provide you with the highest quality recreational and educational fly fishing experience, promote fly fishing throughout our community, and preserve and protect our fisheries. All trips are catch and release only.

With our experience, we are equally at home with beginner and advance anglers. Offering both wading and float trips, we tailor our trips to meet the needs and expectations of our clients. If you have a larger group, for a special occasion or corporate outing, we can accommodate your needs. Also, we offer casting classes and fly tying instruction. Bug Fisher guide, Chris Rowland, signed up this spring as the PHW coordinator for Roanoke, and we're both excited about the opportunity to gave a small part back to our veterans and active duty personnel who have been wounded. The "At the Vise" page will be an opportunity for sharing ideas, tips, patterns, and such for fly tyers, as well as maybe some current fishing conditions and tackle tips. If you have something you want to share, drop us an e-mail and we'll upload it as soon as possible.

Finally, the "Events & Announcements" page is just that. As things happen in the area, we'll list them on this page, including appearances and classes we'll offer. If you know of a fly fishing event, or related outdoor happening of interest, drop us an e-mail so we can let everyone know.

We offer guided fly fishing trips, covering the great waters of central and southwest Virginia. This area of Virginia is unique, in that it offers a wide variety of fishing opportunities for the fly angler. From native brook trout in high-gradient mountain streams, and leaping brown and rainbow trout in cool running tailwaters, to hard fighting smallmouth bass in fabled rivers, the fish of Virginia are sure to put a bend in your rod and a smile on your face!
